World Wide Views on Biodiversity: Réunion gets involved!

To focus on issues of global biodiversity, 40 countries (including Congo,Cameroon, Maldives, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Canada, the USA, Denmark,Germany, China and Japan) organized a participatory biodiversity-themed day.
The"World Wide Views on Biodiversity" (WWV) event was launched by the Danes (Danish Board of Technology, Danish Office of public policy evaluation) on the basis of their experience from the "World Wide Views on Global Warming" before the 2011 summit in Copenhagen on climate.
Citizens’views will help in decision-making for a future international agreement on biodiversity at the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Biodiversity in Hyderabad, India from 8 to 19 October.
Ofthe Indian Ocean states, only Réunion was in attendance. In France, the Nord-Pas-de-Calais Region was also involved.
